This huge temple
lion guards the entrance to the Burmese Temple. Temple lions are seldom
found guarding private homes for fear that the owner's spirit might not
be strong enough to fight off the lion should it turn on him.
Many of the temples in
Penang are decorated with bonsai pots in the courtyard like these.
