Construction,
constant since 1885, is under the supervision of Chinese, Burmese and Thai
artists. The Pagoda of 1000 Buddhas is nearly 100' tall, and the
very top contains a relic of Buddha and a pure gold statue. The bottom
tiers were built in the Chinese style, the middle in the Thai style and
the top in the Burmese style. The new prayer hall is on the left.
