Rock Creek Area

Mountain Marsh Larkspur (Delphinium polycladon) grows in wet sites in the talus of the High Sierra Nevada and the White and Inyo Mountains. One plant can have up to 35 flowers on pedicels along the stem. Each flower has a long spur out the back. Two pairs of petals form the hairy eye at the center of the flower and the nectaries are exposed in the face of the flower rather than being hidden in the sepal spur.
